A White House Revival!

Isn't it interesting that our Presidential hopefuls were touting their faith so predominantly in the past several weeks? Interesting, yes. Surprising, no. After all, a good majority of the voting public are religious in one way or another according to recent polls. So bring on the parade of piety. Pander to me and my "faithful" friends. After all, reason and faith are mutually exclusive right? So we must not be able to think through the issues. Apparently, we just care about which building you spend a couple Sundays in a year. So let me see if I can figgur this 'un out?

So Obama's got a buddy named Reverend Wright. CNN says that Rev. Wright's a bad guy - hates Amerika and uses inflammatory rhetoric. Well that thare's a big word 'n it doesn't sound good. So if he's Obama's buddy, that must mean.... wait, wait, I got it.... Obama wouldn't be a good president right?!!

Ok, so McCain. Hmmm ,well that Hagee guy in Texas likes him. And I'm not sure, but I don't think we're supposed to like anything in Texas anymore. What after all these past 8 years of this Texan in the White House. And then they got lots of cults and compounds and things out there in Texas don't they? Hey, does Hagee have one of them? Plus, I've never trusted fat preachers. And Hagee's always talkin' bout Israel and stuff and I don't really care about that ya' see.

Maybe Hillary is a good candidate for us religious folk? What does she say on the matter? "I am very grateful that I had a grounding in faith that gave me the courage and the strength to do what I thought was right, regardless of what the world thought."
A "grounding in faith" huh? Well that clears it up. She's grounded in faith. Good thing too, 'cause ifn she was grounded in logic or some o' them thare school smarts then we wouldn' vote for her.

Well, this is a tough one. My head hurts from all this thinkin'. I gotta sit down.
